Kyle Vanderheyden
Registered Psychotherapist Serving London and Area
I offer therapy for men, adults and adolescents in London, Ontario and throughout Southwestern Ontario. I work with clients who feel agitated, reactive, or stuck in patterns that affect their emotions, relationships, and day-to-day life. Many clients I support experience anxiety, anger, emotional shutdown, or ongoing stress and have tried to manage things on their own before seeking therapy.
It is difficult when emotions feel hard to control, communication turns into conflict, or relationships feel unstable or disconnected. Emotional struggles in men often show up as irritability, withdrawal, overthinking, or feeling constantly tense rather than openly distressed. Some clients also live with intense emotional patterns or Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) traits, which can make relationships and self-confidence especially challenging.
Therapy focuses on understanding these patterns and building practical skills for emotional regulation, anxiety management, stress reduction, and communication. My approach is calm, straightforward, and supportive, helping clients across London and Ontario reduce reactivity, improve relationships, and develop more stability and confidence in daily life.
I graduated from Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program with Distinction and before that I graduated from King’s University with an Honours Double Major in Psychology and Sociology.
I thoroughly enjoy being able to support those who are struggling and aim to make positive changes in their life and help those around me succeed in whatever it is they set out to do.
I also enjoy the outdoors and outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing alongside friends and family.
